Ask a new question. They are text files with. I can open using notepad. I use captions thoughout my videos and the current defaults reset the dialogs each time I add a caption. I always end up changing the settings each time. I would like to change the caption defaults to Left justify, medium outline, color black, and duration 35 seconds.
After I make a "template" file, how do I get MovieMaker to read in the template before I start a project? And which name and file extension should I save the file?
Or is there a different approach, such as an. Microsoft seems to have planned to allow customization and adding of new captions, but never published the method of adding them. So you are on your own to try and figure it out. It's different than how you added custom transitions, effects and titles in the prior version Windows Movie Maker 6. Perhaps there is something on the Windows Movie Maker forums since several years ago people were experimenting. It would have been nice if Microsoft actually had published the intended method of doing this.
Or if we are lucky, maybe one of the Microsoft Support engineers can run this up the chain and see if there is anything that the original Movie Maker team can provide. Was this reply helpful?
